The School Materials Offered By Commercial Printers

This article has been viewed 43 times.

Try enrolling in a university and you will find that there are quite a lot of printed materials at play. Sometimes, these prestigious schools have contracted the services of Dallas printing companies, maybe even DFW printers, which explain where those different papers with impressive logos came from.

The questions is, what exactly are the things a commercial printing company can produce to be used in the different universities and schools all over America and the world? The following are but a few examples among countless others.

a. Envelopes. Anyone who has applied to be able to enter a certain university has experienced the excitement and anticipation of receiving that special envelope with the university logo plastered in school colors on it. Whether carrying bad news or good news, it cannot be denied that these envelopes look quite impressive.

b. Letterheads. What else would you find within specially printed envelopes but a special letter addressed to you with a specially designed letterhead? Oftentimes would-be-students don’t notice this part of the letter until after they find out whether or not they got accepted or not. If these guys do fail to get in, at least they have a pretty letterhead to show for their efforts.

c. Brochures. Universities have brochures too, and for these establishments, brochures are doubly crucial. A well-designed brochure can either convince a student to enter a certain university or to enter the competing universities instead. It may be hard to believe but there exist are people who exist that are so shallow as to use the impact of the brochure as a deciding factor for their future. Sometimes, there are even students who do not read any of the printed on a brochure. As long as the print is a good shade of green or blue, there will always be those who will take the bait.

d. Handbooks. Handbooks are probably the most unread piece of printed material that commercial printers produce for schools. Obviously, these books contain the school mission, vision, rules, school hymn, and whatever else they could think of when laying out the final version of the book. It is a shame that students almost never to bother to read these things, because it is quite a sight to see a freshly printed batch of handbooks, again decorated with school colors and logos.

e. Bookmarks. There are actually religious schools that have bookmarks printed entirely for the purpose of giving them out to freshly enrolled students. Sometimes, there can be as many as seven bookmarks in a set, each bookmark most likely telling part of the life of the university’s patron saint. Of course, this is not entirely limited to religious schools, but the possibility is greater with them.

For sure, these are not the only things you’ve encountered in school that have surely come from a Dallas printing company. It won’t be anytime soon that schools will stop ordering from DFW printers or other commercial printers, even as computers play bigger and bigger roles in the academe. So the next time you receive a letter of acceptance (or rejection) from the mailman, be sure to give silent thanks to the commercial printer who printed it.
